This is a DIY recipe using Vinegar for an all-natural fungicide to help protect your plants from fungal infections. Here’s a breakdown:
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. of white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp. of baking soda
- 1 tsp. of vegetable oil
- 1 gallon of water
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bucket.
- Pour the mixture into a handheld spray bottle with a trigger sprayer.
- Spray your plants once a week during the growing season.
- Ensure you cover the stems and both sides of every leaf.
- Be especially diligent in wet or humid weather.
- Repeat the spraying after each rain.
- As we are at the end of the growing season in many areas, nip next spring’s problems now.
Tip:
- Apply the spray in the morning to allow the plants to dry before nightfall, as fungal spores thrive in dark, damp environments.
